I will be absolutely sickened if the NHS Bill isn’t dropped but what I think is annoying me more than anything is my Tory friends taking the high-ground because “Blair started it.”

Firstly, let’s take a minute so you can back the fuck off, yes? I have no excuses for what the Blair government did to the NHS whilst in power and in actuality, I’m very much opposed to the sneaky bills they did manage to pass. Labour’s stance on the NHS has always been very obvious but under the Blair government, well, you couldn’t exactly hold them to their word. When they introduced the Private Finance Initiative his party should have been irrate. They weren’t, they were in on it. I really, really can’t condone that. PFI Hospitals are the worst thing to happen to the NHS in decades, but you know what? I genuinely believe this Bill will fuck our NHS entirely. You really want the moral high-ground? Stop playing at Party Politics. It doesn’t fucking work.

Yes, I’ll probably always be Labour through and through but that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate they’re not sometimes a little bit shit or a little too slack on certain subjects. I can and do call them out when I think they’re in the wrong. They’re my party of choice but they’re nowhere near perfect. Party Politics is a joke. You should be voting for policies and holding governments to account when they don’t live up to them. If you’re just voting for a party then your ignorance is outstanding.
